download epk

You might know Ben Silver as one-third of Orchard Lounge, the long-running Chicago DJ collective that also includes Spencer Lokken and Bethany "Queen B" Lokken. The trio's tag-team sets pack in bass-dropping tech house, sunset chill-out grooves and other futuristic sounds. Orchard Lounge has had residencies at clubs around the country, including Smartbar in Chicago, Vagabond in Miami and Love in New York. They’ve gigged at established venues like Red Rocks and Hammerstein Ballroom, and major festivals, including Lollapalooza, Coachella and Electric Zoo.

Ben Silver is now bringing his solo act on the road, playing psychedelic deep house and techno live (Live At Verboten) and producing original material along with songwriting partner David Hammond. In fall 2015 he released the well-received "Solar" and "Lunar" DJ mixes—in October, Beatport named “Solar” one of the "Top 10 Mixes of the Month.”

Ben is also readying the release of his debut EP, “Free,” which is a collaboration with David Hammond. It's three tracks are suitable for a wide range of styles, with some parts harder hitting and others more exploratory. "Resurrect" is a deep-bass banger with a massive crescendo that’s been blowing up the dance floor at recent shows. "Free," also a club favorite, builds slowly and disintegrates into broken melodies. "Stir Crazy" is a slightly lower-tempo track with a huge groove. With an established fan base already in play there are many people awaiting the release.
